Happy New Year & PHP 5.2.0 release

Just a quick post to wish you all a happy new, and wish you all every success in whatever you desire.

I won’t go in to a blow by blow review of 2006. On a professional level, it was a great year, and I’m sure it will stand me in good stead for many years to come. However as many of you know alot of my personal goals didn’t happen due to the sheer amount of work I had on my plate.

I’ve got to admit I’m really fired up to make those personal projects and other mad cap plans happen this time round.

Anyway back to the geekery.

Last night I ended up having to reinstall PHP 5, and installed the latest PHP release (5.2.0), over the years PHP has got progressively easier to install but I was pleased to find the install now writes to the Apache conf file as well. Another added bonus is the inclusion of JSON support. Nice.
